Dental IT support
Dental Practice Management Software & Imaging IT Support
We do not sell you a platform. We look after everything around it — the computers, the network, the sensors and scanners, the backups and the access controls — so the software your team uses all day keeps working during patient hours.
What this covers
When a sensor will not acquire, a chart takes twenty seconds to open, or an operatory drops off the network at eleven in the morning, the cause may sit outside the application itself. We check the workstation, switch, driver and server alongside the platform to isolate where the issue starts.
That is the work we do. Legend Networking has spent 20+ years in dental IT, supporting practices nationwide with 24/7 monitoring, same-day assistance and onsite help when hardware needs hands on it.
If you are still choosing a platform, our neutral selection guide is the better starting point. This page is about the IT environment around whichever platform you have already picked.

What's included
- Workstation performance tuning for operatory, front desk and doctor machines
- Server, database host and network reliability behind the software
- Imaging device support: sensors, intraoral cameras, pan and CBCT workstations
- Integration checks between imaging, charting, billing and patient communication
- Backups of the practice database with tested restores
- Access control, unique logins and audit logging aligned to HIPAA expectations
- Vendor coordination when an issue sits with the software publisher
- Upgrade and downtime planning scheduled around the appointment book
What we support around your platform
Practices we work with commonly run platforms such as the ones below. We are not a reseller and we are not the software publisher — we keep the technology around the platform healthy and coordinate with the vendor when a problem belongs to them.
- Dentrix
- Open Dental
- Eaglesoft
- Carestream / WinOMS
- Cloud 9
Named as examples of platforms dental practices commonly use. We make no claim of certification, partnership or authorised vendor support.
New implementations and migrations
Moving to a new platform, or standing one up in a new office, is planned work. We prepare the environment first, then move data with the vendor, then verify before anyone relies on it.
- Hardware and network readiness review against the platform's requirements
- Server, cloud or hosted setup with encryption and backups in place first
- Data migration coordinated with your outgoing and incoming vendors
- Imaging bridges and device drivers rebuilt and tested per operatory
- Cutover scheduled around the schedule, with the old system kept readable
Ongoing support during patient hours
Once you are live, the priority is simple: the schedule keeps running. Support is remote first, same-day where possible, with onsite help when the fix needs a person in the building.
- Help desk for chairside and front-desk issues while patients are in chairs
- 24/7 monitoring on servers, workstations, switches and backups
- Patching and updates staged so an update never lands mid-morning
- Root-cause work on repeat issues instead of the same restart every week
- Escalation to your software or imaging vendor with the evidence attached
Imaging and integration readiness
Imaging is where most integrations break. Sensors, scanners and pan units each have their own drivers, capture software and bridge into the chart, and each one has to survive updates.
- Per-operatory testing of sensors, cameras and acquisition software
- Bridge configuration between imaging software and the patient chart
- Storage sizing and retention for image libraries that grow every year
- Network capacity so large studies move without stalling the operatory
- Documentation of every device, driver and licence in the practice
Frequently asked questions
Do you sell or resell practice management software?
No. We support the technology around whichever platform you choose, and we coordinate with your vendor when an issue belongs to them.
Can you help us move from one platform to another?
Yes. We prepare the network, servers and workstations, work alongside your outgoing and incoming vendors on the data move, then test imaging and integrations before you rely on the new system.
Our imaging software stopped talking to the chart. Is that something you handle?
Yes. Broken bridges, drivers and acquisition settings are routine work for us, and we escalate to the imaging vendor with the diagnostic detail already gathered if the fault sits in their product.
Will an upgrade shut down the schedule?
Upgrades are planned around the appointment book, with backups verified first, so work happens outside patient hours wherever the vendor allows it.
Do you support practices outside Texas?
Yes. We support dental practices nationwide with remote help desk and 24/7 monitoring, plus onsite assistance when a visit is needed.
